Our Philosophy
Life is Outdoors
We believe in the power of natural environments to stimulate creativity, resilience, and wonder in children. Being outdoors connects us to the world in ways screens and indoor activities simply cannot.
Unconstrained Movement
Children are born with amazing movement patterns & capabilities. They thrive when they can move freely, exploring their physical capabilities without unnecessary restrictions.
Lifelong Sports
Building a foundation for lifelong athletic engagement starts early. We cultivate a love for physical activity that naturally transitions into sports participation and active living throughout life.
The Science of Sports & Great Functional Life
Research consistently shows that early childhood sports participation has profound and lasting benefits for physical and mental health.
Physical Health Benefits
Cardiovascular Health
A study in the Journal of Pediatrics found that children who participated in regular physical activity before age 10 showed significantly better cardiovascular health markers in adolescence and early adulthood.
Bone Density
Research published in JAMA Pediatrics demonstrated that weight-bearing activities during childhood led to 5-10% higher bone mineral density in adulthood, reducing lifetime risk of osteoporosis.
Motor Skills Development
Children who engage in varied physical activities before age 8 develop superior motor coordination that persists throughout life, according to longitudinal studies from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Cognitive Development
Executive Function
A Harvard University study found that children who participated in regular sports showed enhanced executive function, including better working memory, cognitive flexibility, and self-control.
Academic Performance
Research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows a positive correlation between physical activity and academic achievement, with physically active children scoring 15% higher on standardized tests.
Problem-Solving Skills
Children who engage in unstructured play and team sports develop enhanced spatial awareness and strategic thinking, according to research published in Developmental Science.
Social-Emotional Benefits
Emotional Regulation
A longitudinal study in Psychological Medicine found that children who participated in team sports were 60% less likely to experience anxiety and depression in adolescence.
Social Skills
Research from the University of Michigan showed that children who engaged in self-regulated play developed stronger conflict resolution skills and empathy compared to those in highly structured activities.
Resilience
A study in the Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics found that early sports participation was associated with greater resilience and ability to handle setbacks in later life.

Meet the Founders
We (Insi Gutta & Sanjay Bisht) created theMool for our own kids - to give them a safe, open, unstructured time & space to simply play. We both have strong roots in Sports - Insi is a former state badminton player and founding director of Jwala Gutta Academy of Excellence (Hyderabad), and Sanjay has been a pro-collegiate Athlete and football captain at IIT. Our goal is to buid strong health foundations for our kids via sports, to better prepare them for the uncertainities of adulthood.
The Meaning of "Mool"
"Mool" comes from Sanskrit, meaning "root". It represents our belief that connecting children with nature and sports is the roots of human development, creating essential foundations for lifelong physical and mental wellbeing.
